Why don't you...

Grab a friend and spin around in circles until you both collapse in giggles!

Go see some local theatre! Dress up and bring along a date! Have an intellectual conversation afterwards!

Fill up tons of champagne flutes & wine glasses with different levels of water and practice your song writing! Instructions here!

Grab a pogo stick from the back of your closet and see how many hops you can do before your fall off! Practice until you are a master at pogo and challenge your friends to a pogo-athon!

Pin lots of feathers into your hair and dress up in something risque!

Buy a dozen cupcakes from your local bakery and give them out to strangers throughout the day!

Volunteer to pet-sit or dog walk for someone really busy who needs a little help. Some people don't realize how little time they actually spend with pets.

Buy a package of kazoos at the dollar store and get a group of friends together. Compose a kazoo masterpiece!

Spend an afternoon exploring parts of your city that you've never seen before. Make little stops at all the quirky shops and boutiques. Have coffee at that little obscure cafe you always drive by on the way to work. Take some time to actually see & experience the city you call home.

Go to a bookstore and buy one book you have always wanted to read. Find a cozy cafe or comfy park and read as much of the book as you can. Make sure to bring along a snack!

What do you suggest for a day of whimsicality??

  3. I love this post - I like drawing eyes on stickers and then leaving them on random objects like trees and coffee cups. Oh and pretending to be French in my head!
