Style Crush: Reese Witherspoon
I recently saw Water For Elephants with Zeth, and we both really enjoyed the film. I immediately downloaded the book on my iPad and started reading it. I'm about half-way through it. I thought they did a wonderful job with the adaptation from what I've read so far. I don't think that everyone is going to love the film, but it's definitely an interesting story. I also realize that a lot of people may not see the movie because Robert Pattinson plays the lead male. I have to admit I was a little skeptical of his acting abilities since I have only seen him in a handful of roles including the first Twilight movie. I've never been into the Twilight hype, although I have absolutely nothing against it. I was pleasantly surprised with his acting, although I felt he definitely could have done a lot more with the role. I could go on, but I really don't want to bore you with my theatre major babble.
I really enjoyed Reese's performance in Water For Elephants. I feel that Reese always brings something very unique to her roles, and I find her characters all very different. Outside of her acting, I find Reese to be a little quirky and very real. She has admitted in many interviews that she makes hamburger helper for her kids, and that she has her own body issues such as cellulite. I think that we all relate to celebrities like her because she isn't afraid to show her imperfections.
"I don't believe in perfection. I don't think there is such a thing. But the energy of wanting things to be great is a perfectionist energy."
Have a HAPPY happy day, Lovely!
