Hello September: Resolutions for a Month of Positivity

I cannot believe that another month has whizzed past me in the blink of an eye! It still feels like the very beginning of the summer when I was preparing for my European trip and juggling a million obligations at once. September is going to an extremely busy month, but I'm surprisingly excited for all of the adventures to come. I'm also very excited about the beginning of Autumn. The breezy months of Autumn are some of my favorite times of the year. My ideal autumn is filled with cinnamon sticks, pumpkin patches, caramel macchiatos, and rainy day naps. What about you?

Journal. I often spend so much time working on my blog and writing in my filofax that I often neglect my personal journal. My personal journal is a bright & sparkly pink composition notebook that I carry around in my handbag and fill with my daily thoughts. I definitely need to show my journal more love.

 Write more blogs in advance. I always have these amazing blog ideas when I don't have enough time to bring them to fruition. I think I would have more time to explore new blog topics if I pre-wrote some of my weekly articles. 

★ Stop worrying. Because I'm such a worry wart and sometimes it just gets old. I need more positivity and less negative worries.

★ Read one book per week. I love reading, but I have the worst habit of beginning a book and finishing it weeks later. I need to join a book club and commit to finishing every book I begin.

Create a inspiration collage. I have a huge stack of old magazines that I'm dying to transform into a huge inspiration collage for the wall-space above the loveseat in my bedroom. I'm such a visual person, and I adore collages of any kind.

Tweet more positive thoughts ★ spend more time with George & Apollo ★ donate some clothes work on a makeup tutorial ★ read my favorite blogs more often ★ get more sleep ★ drink cups of tea ★ make some positive music playlists ★ keep up with my emails ★ write & mail cards to my best friends ★ take more inspiring pictures ★ rotate my handbag more often ★ give my hair a rest from hot tools every so often ★ tell all of my favorite people how much they mean to me ★ go to the gym more often ★ eat more fresh fruit.

  1. I just realized that I haven't even changed my calendar to september. Your goals for the month are very similar to mine. I really need to stay motivated and try to eat better.

  2. Lovely resolutions! I definitely need to stop worrying. Reading more for pleasure is also a must. And I'm also a fan of creating inspiration colleges - I've saved a stack of magazines for that purpose too. Other resolutions for me: being more productive and more proactive, not procrastinating, not comparing my talents to the talents of others, doing more of what I love (baking, writing, etc.). Sometimes I become so focused on school work that I don't save enough time to be creative!

  5. I am digging those resolutions, I think I need to make me some goals to inspire some motivation for fall semester!!! I love reading too but rarely get the chance to finish the book :(... #bookclubviaskype =P
